Editorial Standards
The standards applied before a report is published.
Verification
Reports must identify reliable source evidence. Claims are checked against primary records or multiple credible sources whenever practicable. Draft material is not presented as published reporting.
Independence and attribution
Reporting and commercial decisions remain separate. External reporting, photographs and video must be attributed and used only with an appropriate licence or permission.
Use of automation
Automation may assist research, formatting and production, but publication requires editorial review. Automated output must not invent quotations, sources, events or attribution.
