Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee presided over a state cabinet meeting at Nandigram today. After the meeting, the Chief Minister informed the media that approval has been given for the recruitment of 14,454 posts in various state government departments. This recruitment process will be completed within 8 months. The monthly honorarium of 'Karmabandhu' is increasing from 5,000 to 8,000 rupees. The Chief Minister said that the state government will launch a toll-free helpline - 112 to get quick police assistance for women and children's safety and any other need.
