Union Minister of State L. Murugan has resigned from his post. He stated that he wants to work full-time to strengthen the party. In his letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he has requested to be relieved from his MP post. He said serving the country and Tamil Nadu under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the greatest honor of his life. Ahead of the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, he mentioned that he plans to go from village to village to meet the people and strengthen the party. He said that being a son of a laborer and serving in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet is the highest blessing of his life. In his letter, Minister L. Murugan stated that he has always worked with the aim of first the nation, then the party, and finally his own interests.
